Charming countryside farmhouse with a hot tub and garden views

Tired and bare minimum cleaning - draughty and sporadic heating Positive: We loved the exterior and booked it based on the gorgeous picture of the front of the house. Negative: It just wasn’t clean - it was the bare minimum to be able to say it’s clean. The kettle had so much limescale in it that big flakes were visible everytime it boiled moving around and there were so webs on the ceiling in the main seating area and the bedroom. The whole house is either boiling hot (if the boiler work!!) or draughty from the cold. Ib the pictures it looked stunning but in reality it is tired and just about working. The boiler broke so no heating in night 2. The oven was broken, the kettle was disgusting, the drawers and cutlery had stains on, the beds had cheap spring mattresses on and a thin mattress topper thing and rolled in towards the centre. We didn’t use the hot tub despite booking for that reason as we didn’t think it would be either clean or that once used we’d be able to get washed. There was no hot water on day 1 or 2. An electric shower that is more a slight mist than a shower is hardly going to work, if at all. Overall, we literally could not wait to leave and go get a proper shower and stay in a decent bed. We’d have left early if I wasn’t too tired to drive! It was miserable and I messaged the hosts and didn’t get a reply - just automated messages saying to leave it clean - the irony!

A little piece of heaven 😎 Positive: Excellent property we stayed here for our daughters graduation, facilities were excellent. Very spacious with all essentials needed, the fairy lights gave it a beautiful ambiance. we used the hot tub one evening and it was superb to relax and chill in beautiful surroundings . Negative: The front door was hard to open 💞

Nice house in the countryside Positive: Nice and clean farmhouse with all required amenities. Very quiet, out of the way location. Rooms were spacious and cosy. Free off road parking. Good for families with a nice big yard for the kids, very private. Hot tub was great. Host was helpful and sent all required information. Motorway services were just nearby and Shifnal was not too far for more shops and restaurants. Negative: Nothing wrong with the farmhouse itself. In the countryside, so nothing around within walking distance, but that wasn't a problem for us.

Fantastic property, the photos don't do it justice, a video of the property on the website would give you a better insight to the property, everything you needed was provided and the place was spotless.

Home away from home, really enjoyed our stay Positive: Perfect location, property was clean and welcoming. Hosts replied to messages quickly & were very helpful. Property had all the essentials. Will definitely be staying here again. Negative: Everything was perfect, only suggestion would be for lighting in the garden. But that wasn’t an issue as lights were in the hot tub.
